Suede armour

As you remember I was working on creation of suede armour a couple of days ago. As promised, here is the result.

I have put it through endurance test, during the regular game of Bath Branch Fools and Heroes game, while monstering. It has survived and worked really well. It's comfortable, thick enough to soften the impact of hits and what's most important, it's light.

Do you like to have your hands free?

I do. So as G, my husband. His current character, is planning to become a librarian Templar, therefore he not only needs a book to write down his prayers and God's miracles, but also all his findings and records.

His book should be always with him, on all missions, so carrying it has become an issue. Especially, that his costume lacks pockets.

First came the idea to put the book into a pouch for protection from rain and such. The remains of suede in my cupboard seemed a good idea.

But then still, he'd need to carry it around... so then came two belts to create a strapping which will allow it to hang off his belt .

Now just put all these three items together

The book is a standard A4 format.  Belts - courtesy of Peacocks.
The end effect is quite tidy:

Ideas, ideas...

I have been silent for a few days now.
Obviously didn't make much, however, I am working on a piece of (my monster) suede armour.
My fingers hurt after punching and squeezing wholes and eyelets for the laces, but so far, it's looking good.

In the meantime... I have had a few ideas what to do with the lovely piece of red velvet lying in my cupboard.
I think this is going to be a nice lady's piece of clothing. I need to decide though if it's going to be a dress, or  a robe...

Well, I shall post updates and pictures of finished items soon. Till then.. be patient :-)
